Julius G.
Hey there, how are you today? How can I help?
Doing good. How are you?
Julius G.
Pretty good, thanks
Right now i am running a Amd 7800 Gpu. I want to stay with Amd. So i am trying to figure out what is a good upgrade with out putting out so much money.
Julius G.
I see, what power supply do you currently have?
750
Julius G.
Ok, plenty of juice for whatever you want to grab.
What price range did you have in mind?
yep. few months ago i upgraded everything except Gpu
Julius G.
Nice
would like to stay below 300
Julius G.
Ok so right at $300 I tend to recommend the GTX 970
Or a Radeon 380X
GTX 970 because of its lower TDP and driver support
Radeon 380X is a bit more powerful
was have been looking into the r9 300 series but wasnt sure
Julius G.
Sorry 390X*
The GTX 970 is faster than the Radeon 380X
The GTX 970 would be your best bet in the $300 range if you are open to nvidia.
is the GTX 970 even better then 290x?
thats what my brother has
Julius G.
No, the 290X is faster
but I don't think any are in stock
no there isnt
there hasnt been for a while
Julius G.
Yeah, they just got refreshed with the 390X series
yeah he was lucky to get the 290x at $299
Julius G.
Yeah, they had some great deals going for a while. Some nice mail in rebates as well
What resolution is your monitor?
getting new ones. but they will be 1920 x 1080
getting 2x BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz 1ms 24" Gaming Monitor
Julius G.
so 2 monitors?
Right
so MSI GeForce GTX 970 is better than 380x?
Julius G.
Yep
This is a pretty good deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product...
yeah thats what im looking at
realy appreciate the info. i think i will go with the 970. the specs are to good to pass up for the price
Julius G.
Yeah, it's currently the best bang for buck at that price range. Generally not something you will find with nvidia
yea NV likes to hike up there prod alot
Julius G.
Yeah definitely a premium generally one has to pay. So it sounds like you are good to go with the GPU, is there anything else I can help with today?
i think thats it. thanks agaion
again*
