Q. visitor asked, Hi. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6JYWxr. Is there anyway I can make that build cheaper?

Hi
Nathan R.
hi! can I help you with a SSD?
Is there anyway I can make that build cheaper?
Nathan R.
let me have a look
ok - are you sure the liquid cooling is necessary?
This is my first build. I just see other people using it?
Nathan R.
well, are you overclocking?
no
Nathan R.
ok, then just get a coolermaster hyper evo 212
saves you some cash right there :-)
cool
Nathan R.
also, why do you need an optical drive?
i dont "need" it, I just thought I would get one
Nathan R.
if you're just getting it for giggles, cut it out of your build - it's a waste of $20 :-)
k
Nathan R.
still looking things over
no problem
Nathan R.
you could also do with a less beefy power supply
like 500w?
Nathan R.
yeah - for reference, I'm running a 4770 and a 970 off of 330
you could also save some money by getting a WD Blue 7200 RPM instead of a black
Is there a difference?
nvm I can research that
What would you say about the video card is that a good one or should I look for something else?
Nathan R.
the 970 is awesome - that i would not change
k cool
Nathan R.
other than what i mentioned, i think you're good - and i may have saved you around $200
that's awesome
thanks
Nathan R.
you're welcome!
