Hello
Hi how may I assist you this evening?
hi
I'd like you to explain me some differences in equipments that seem very similar to me
- What's the difference between the ScubaPro Knighthawk BC with Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator ($ 738,00) and the Scubapro Knighthawk BC, Black ($617,00), besides the price?
I will try my best6.
Ok do you know what an Air 2 system is?
No
Let me pull it up for you ok
ok
ScubaPro Knighthawk BC with Air 2 Alternate Inflation Regulator Large
Ok an Air 2 system eliminates the need for an octopus.
It is your safe second
oh really!
So you can breath using that
Yes. In an emergency you would breathe off the part I circled in red and hand over your primary to your buddy
I see, is that the only difference?
I actually dive the Ladyhawk air 2
Yes it is.
And you don`t use octopus?
No you dont need it.
Do you see what I have circled on the screen?
because with the price difference I could buy the cheapest one + an octopus, what do you think are the ups and downs?
pros and cons
I like eliminating that extra hose.
what about the octopus quality - would you compare this Air 2 with an R295?
I would say the R295 will probably breathe a little easier but I still like the Air 2 system for streamlining my gear.
What type of diving do you do?
I'm studying for my advanced courses, deep diving, night, etc. but I don't intend to be a Tech diver very soon
Congrats on your advanced. Its about personal preferences. I like not having another hose attached. The R295 is a great secondary. Its just about how you want your gear set up.
Ok I got it, I'll think about it - 2 more questions I have...
Ok
I've seen some regulators YOKE and DIN, what's that about?
For ex: MK17/C300 YOKE and MK17/C300 DIN
Ok that is the connection the Reg has with the tank.
Basically how they screw on.
Let me see if I can pull them up
Zeagle Envoy ReZort Din Regulator
Its hard to see in the picture but its how the reg fits on the cylinder. Both are common.
OK, does it change anything at all? I'm asking because MK17/C300 Yoke is $100 cheaper than the DIN, should I take anything in consideration besides price?
I would go with the Yoke then.
Great
No there is even conversion kits \
Yeah I saw them
Well Paula I guess that's it!
Thanks a lot! It was very helpful - good work!
