Hi, my name is Niki and I'm here to help you with your dive equipment questions today.
Hi how are you?
Fine, Looking to buy a regulator and am interested in what would be the best choice between a piston style or diaphragm style regulator?
What kind of diving do you do?
Lots of cold fresh water, cold saltwater and sometimes warm salt water
Diaphragm is best for cold water. Have you seen the Mares Abyss? What are you looking at?
looking at oceanic or tusa. I am also going to buy a full face mask shortly so would need something that would be compatable?
Any particular models you had in mind?
No
Ok, just like Oceanic and Tusa?
That is what the dive store here in my small town is qualified to work on
Those really aren't the best brands out there for quality. But I'd be happy to show you a couple options.
Oceanic Delta 4.1 FDX10 Diaphragm Regulator, Black
The Delta DVT is probably the best one that Oceanic or Tusa sells.
Personally, I'd look at Hollis, Mares or ScubaPro and send it off to get service.
For my wife i just want something real reliable and for me something that will work with a full face mask
I had scuba pro before and liked it
One of the best ones out there is the MK25. Have you used it?
Scubapro MK25/S600 Regulator
No i have not
I've pulled it up to the left.
Hollis DC1 212 Regulator With Maxflex Hose Din
Scubapro MK25/S600 Regulator
I've pulled up around 6 suggestions to the right. Do you see those?
Are you still here?
